About Evie
I am a current trainee teacher working in a high school delivering Sociology and Philosophy, Religion and Ethics to Year 7s and Year 10s. I completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology last year, gaining a first-class certificate, and found myself adoring the literature and essay-based side of my course. I am an avid reader (my favourite book is Pride and Prejudice!) and have been a published creative writer online since college. English and Sociology are subjects that have brought me joy and comfort, and I am excited to help others feel the same positivity.

I am extremely passionate about visual learning and making education memorable through creativity and fun. I have found that students learn more successfully when their teacher expresses the same joy in a subject that they are trying to instil in their student - and I love my subject! I ensure information is delivered in manageable chunks, and create interactive tasks to aid retrieval and long-term memory storage. For example, I utilise mind-maps regularly to encourage critical thinking, teaching my students how to make vital connections between concepts and topics. This is the key to achieving those higher grades, and I am certain that every student of every level has the potential to engage with this.
