About Lucy
I am training to be a teacher at Middlesex University, in my second year. I have gained practical experience helping children learn both at school and volunteering at brownies, where I support weekly sessions and assist with activities. I have substantial experience tutoring primary students and delivering clear, effective and personalised lessons. I have also just returned from spending the summer as a camp counsellor at a summer camp in Pennsylvania. I would describe myself as friendly, reliable, hard-working and patient.

As a teacher I try to be patient and encouraging, helping children to feel comfortable asking questions and trying their best. I try to break information and instructions down into simple steps. I am also aware that every child learns differently and therefore adapt my teaching style depending on the child or group of children. I try to be energetic and engaging to help make learning fun and enjoyable for children.
