About Dylan
I am a drum tutor with 11 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Contemporary Music. I first began performing in local bands during high school and quickly realized how much I loved rhythm. My lessons combine structure with creativity to ensure strong progress. I focus on helping students develop clean technique and confident coordination. Timing, groove, and consistency are central to my teaching. I believe drumming should feel exciting, not intimidating. Students learn songs they enjoy alongside fundamental exercises.
I adapt my teaching style to each learner’s needs. You’ll receive step-by-step guidance and clear practice strategies. My lessons explore various genres, including rock, pop, funk, and hip-hop. I make sure students feel supported and motivated.
Developing musical confidence is one of my biggest priorities. I enjoy celebrating every achievement, no matter how small. My teaching environment is relaxed, positive, and encouraging. Whether you are a beginner or an advancing drummer, I am committed to helping you grow.

My drum lessons are designed to teach students contemporary drumming skills while building a strong technical foundation and fostering creativity. Students receive guidance on effective practice routines, goal setting, and strategies to track progress. My teaching environment is positive, encouraging, and motivating, allowing learners to explore their creativity and experiment with rhythms.
Lessons emphasize listening skills, musical analysis, and real-world application to help students play confidently in various contexts. I focus on combining technical proficiency with expressive performance, helping students develop their own style. Students also learn problem-solving techniques for challenging rhythms and patterns.
