If I am teaching you, we have to work together. I am not here to tell you what to do, I’m here to help you articulate your ideas and as a guide as how you can refine them. I want you to develop as your own person and be able to identify a good idea. I understand that it can be difficult to become confident in your work, I can help you express yourself to communicate your ideas in the best way.
With my current student (A level) we go on tailored trips every other lesson. This gives us a common ground to discuss and develop ideas from. I also look at her sketchbook and talk through it with her to get an understanding of what she’s been doing in class. I am a person she does not feel shy about talking to honestly and through this dialogue we have made work that she is proud of and truly believes in.
Of course every student is different and every lesson will be tuned to match the needs of the student with the most effective teaching strategies possible. And always in a relaxed up beat environment where there is space to laugh and learn happily.

Details
I will charge £10 per hour , per student. Lessons can range from 3 hours (minimum) to a whole day (7 hours) which might be the case if a trip was involved.
I can supply some materials, but depending on the subject matter of the lesson, this can be negotiated, as well as tickets for galleries etc.
I am happy to travel across London, and have put my travel price at £8 (travel card). I am also available to travel outside of London, however all travel costs must be covered for this. My current student lives in Basingstoke.
