About Emer
I am a recent International Commerce and French graduate with a strong passion for the French language. It was my immersive year studying in the Management School in Strasbourg that really elevated my fluency in French. I chose to become a tutor because I know that French is often the subject students find most intimidating. There is a specific "wall" many hit between understanding the rules and actually speaking the language with confidence. My goal is to help you break through that wall. Having sat many French exams myself I can help you master the language at your own pace.

My teaching methodology is built on two pillars: Exam Strategy (knowing the marking scheme) and Oral Confidence (knowing the language).
The "Oral-First" Technique: Even for written work, we speak. We use the "Question-Response" flow to build muscle memory for the Leaving Cert Oral.
Active Vocabulary Building: Instead of memorizing long lists, we focus on "High-Yield Phrases"—versatile sentences that can be used in the Oral, the Opinion piece, and the Journal Intime.
The Marking Scheme Lens: We look at past SEC (State Examinations Commission) papers to see exactly where the H1 marks are awarded for "Structure" and "Range of Vocabulary."
