About Emily
Hi, I’m Emily! I am currently completing an MSc in Clinical Nutrition and Public Health at UCL (passionate about everything nutrition), having previously graduated with a first-class BSc in Psychology. I have a strong academic background and know that exams, essays and deadlines can feel stressful or overwhelming at times — you’re definitely not alone in that! I am a native English speaker and specialise in high-level essay writing, helping students develop clear arguments, strong structure and precise academic expression. Alongside subject content, I focus on building confidence, effective study strategies and exam readiness. I aim to create a calm, professional learning environment and I’m always happy to chat about your goals and how we can work towards them together!

My lessons are structured and supportive. I follow a student-led approach, meaning sessions are guided by the student's needs, questions and areas of difficulty. We begin by identifying key problem areas and using these to shape each session. Lessons typically last 60 minutes. A typical session may include explanation of key concepts, discussion led by the student’s questions, targeted practice using exam-style questions, and focused feedback on technique and written work. I place a strong emphasis on essay structure, exam technique and clear written communication, helping students translate understanding into marks. I am a current MSc student at UCL in Clinical Nutrition and Public Health, with a first-class BSc in Psychology. I have a strong academic background, including A and 9 As at GCSE* and A-levels in Biology, French and Latin. I have experience tutoring English & Science to students aged 14-19 from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. I am also available for Psychology and Nutritional grad-level students for dissertation structure and direction. I am a native English speaker and particularly strong in essay writing. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students studying Biology, Psychology, Combined Science and Nutrition. I work especially well with students who experience anxiety, low confidence or exam stress, and aim to build both academic understanding and confidence over time.
