About Luca
I am a second year undergraduate student at the University of Lancaster, and I am currently studying mathematics. It has always been my strong suite - I have always been top of the year - and it has been a passion for me for the last few years. I plan for my future career to involve research and lecturing, so I hope to always be very involved with mathematics.
I try hard to ensure your understanding is absolute - if you don't get why something works, just give me a shout and I can explain it again and again until you do. I'll try to give examples, and walk you through them until a concept makes sense. I aim to be as helpful as possible.
For some examples of my experience: I have competed in the Junior and Senior Mathematical Challenges, hosted by the UKMT, and scored a Gold in both. I am on track for a First-Class Honours in my degree, and I am currently undertaking a Summer Research Project which will enable me to get to grips with Master and PhD level mathematical concepts. I have previously tutored locally and in school to my peers, and I have some experience with it.

You bring any problems or work you need help with (homework, past paper questions, textbook problems) and I will solve them with you by pointing out why steps are taken, what a solution looks like, and I will primarily aim to grow your intuition for maths. The focus will not be on me teaching you your GCSEs from scratch, but rather reinforcing and enhancing your understanding of the algebra through my assistance.
