About Tamanna

During my senior year of high school and Winter of 2022, I was an intern in the education department at the National Aquarium. Throughout my time there, I have taught in virtual, in-person, and hybrid settings; designed and wrote lesson plans for Henry Hall Fellows (grades 9th-12th); and created multiple research-based and educational PowerPoints. I have learned how to communicate with people of all ages and gained professionalism skills within the work environment. I have learned how to answer and ask questions to get students engaged with material and encourage their curiosity. From my time as a camp counselor, I have also learned to organize activities and provide emotional support to children. In general, I am a very social and outspoken person so I will have no problem working with children from all different backgrounds.

About the lesson

I think it is important for educators to have the freedom of being able to alter their lessons so that they are able to benefit all of their students. Students all learn in different ways and their educators know what is best for their space.
