About Alex
I’m a Cambridge maths graduate currently working in quantitative finance, where I use maths and statistics to solve real-world problems.
I’ve always been strong in maths and enjoy helping others understand it more clearly. I focus on breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense, rather than overcomplicating topics.
I mainly offer Maths and Physics, particularly for students who want to improve their problem-solving or push towards higher grades.

My approach is straightforward: make things clear, then practise applying them.
I usually start by identifying what a student doesn’t fully understand, then explain it in a simpler way before moving on to exam-style questions. The focus is on building solid fundamentals and improving problem-solving, rather than memorising methods.
I mainly teach Maths at GCSE and A-level. While I’m newer to formal tutoring, I have a strong maths background (Cambridge degree) and use these concepts daily in my work, which helps me explain them clearly and practically.
