About Kailee
I have been dancing since age three; I grew up in a competition dance studio and trained at a pre-professional level throughout my childhood. I followed my passion for dance into higher education, and received my B.A. in Dance at Chapman University in Spring 2020. I am knowledgable and confident in many styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, tap, modern/contemporary, and hip-hop. I also have experience in teaching yoga. I reside in Orange County, California, but I am relocating to Los Angeles this summer to pursue my postgraduate goals of becoming a professional dancer working in the commercial industry.

I have taught students in after-school programs with absolutely no dance experience and dancers with years of training under their belts; I am happy to work with any dancer who is eager to move, no experience is needed, but experience is welcome too! Our class will be lighthearted, friendly, growth-oriented, and casual because dancing is FUN--why make it stressful?!
As a teacher, I love to give my students agency in their learning. It's important that the dance class is didactic, but it should also be conversational; I want to know what the student needs, and how I can best fill that need in conveying the material.
I welcome any mover with any background to come dance with me, let's groove!
