About Philip
I've played music for 17 years, and obtained a degree in jazz performance from the University of Utah. I believe strongly that art is a personal thing and that it stems from the conglomeration of craft and personal experience. I love helping my students achieve their goals and going beyond them.

I tailor my approach to the student by learning where they are in the process of mastery and meeting them there. I offer fundamentals-based lessons and teach the 'why' behind the exercises. I cooperate with the student to set attainable and helpful goals.
-I offer a knowledge-based approach with emphasis on the student's interests.
-I have several years experience as a guitar teacher of both adults and children.
-The lessons are for beginners up through intermediate players.
