About Pearla
Hi everyone! My name is Pearla, and I'm a Queen’s University graduate. I’m passionate about academics, and I believe that education is one of the best ways to set yourself up for social and career success. I also know firsthand how essential strong English skills are, no matter what career path you choose! Writing essays, reports, and emails with confidence and clarity can make a huge difference in how your ideas are received.
As a sociology major, I’ve spent years honing my essay-writing skills across a variety of topics. In high school, I achieved a 99% final grade in Grade 12 English, so I’m familiar with what teachers and professors look for. My goal is to help you succeed by refining your writing skills and boosting your confidence.

I think most people know what they want to write but getting started and organizing ideas is difficult for some, especially with all the new technology we have now. I can help edit an already completed paper. We can also start from scratch! I can help with understanding the assignment, organize ideas, create an outline to make those ideas flow logically, and make sure the level of writing is appropriate and formal.

Details
Essay tutoring and editing can vary widely in length and complexity, depending on each student's needs. High school and university essays, for example, require different levels of support and are priced accordingly. Additionally, editing an existing piece and constructing an essay from scratch involve different skills, so these services are priced separately.
Our first meeting will be a free, 5-10 minute consultation to discuss your goals and what you’d like to achieve from our sessions. After this, I’ll provide you with a tailored price, and you can decide if you’d like to move forward.
As a general guideline, rates for high school students range from $25-30 per hour, while university and college level assistance ranges from $30-40 per hour. I look forward to helping you succeed!
