About Luis
I am a professional musician and University-level Professor with over 20 years of experience dedicated to the mastery of stringed instruments. My career has been defined by a deep exploration of both the rigorous discipline of the Academy and the vibrant traditions of global folk music.
My journey began with a dual foundation in Classical and Jazz Guitar, which has given me the technical precision and harmonic depth I bring to every lesson. However, my artistic identity is equally rooted in the rhythmic heart of Flamenco and the rich, stringed traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean.
As an expert in "Global Strings," I have spent two decades not only performing but also researching and teaching specialized instruments, including the Venezuelan and Puerto Rican Cuatro, the Cavaquinho, and the Ukulele. This allows me to offer my students a unique perspective: the ability to translate complex musical concepts across different cultures and instruments.
