About Sarah
I am a university student studying a broad variety of topics for both fun and education. I have been tutoring professionally on and off since high school when I began tutoring students in the grades below me in math - it's been over a decade now!
I've had a passion for helping my peers grow and better understand the materials we've been taught since elementary school, when I'd help the people sitting around me, and it became more prominent in middle and then, finally, high school when I was a peer tutor for the chemistry class for the grade below me.
It's always a delight to help younger folk figure out new ways to understand material, and it's all the better when they can find it fun like I do!

I find it very important not to have a strict teaching method, because every child learns differently.
For some kids, I will simply sit with them and we'll simply pluck through equations. For others, I'll invent or repurpose games with cards and dice and dominos to create a more game-like, tactile learning environment. When reading, I have a fondness for sitting together on the couch and taking turns with narration. Some children are fine working for an hour while others need brain breaks.
It's important to be flexible and ready for anything!
