About Drishya
I'm a fourth-year Honors Neuroscience student at the University of Toronto, with a strong academic record. Alongside my coursework, I coordinate operations for a university research lab, work as a research assistant collecting physiological data, and volunteer on a hospital-based research project. I went through the MCAT and the transition from high school to university science myself, so I understand the pressure points from the student's side, not just the teacher's. I care about helping students actually understand material rather than memorize their way through it, and I bring the same patience and attention to detail in tutoring that I bring to research.

I start with a quick diagnostic conversation to find where confusion actually begins, then teach from first principles instead of memorized formulas. For MCAT students that means tying content review to the reasoning the test rewards, not just facts. For high school and first-year students, I use analogies so mechanisms click instead of sitting as isolated facts.
A typical lesson opens with addressing what's still unresolved from last time, then we work through new material together with me thinking out loud so the reasoning is visible. The student tries similar problems on their own while I watch for sticking points, and we close by picking two or three practice problems for next time.
I'm a fourth-year student with several years in university research labs, including lab coordination, physiological data collection, and hospital-based research. I've lived through the jump from high school to university-level science and know exactly where students trip, and I went through MCAT prep myself, so I teach from what actually worked.
My lessons are for high school students in math and science closing specific gaps, first-year university students adjusting to a faster pace and more independent work, and MCAT candidates who need structured content review paired with test-taking strategy.
