With decades of experience on set and behind the camera, I bring a wealth of real-world knowledge from my career as a professional actor, including starring in the iconic film Poltergeist and working on a variety of notable projects in film and television. As a graduate of USC’s prestigious Film School, I ground my teaching in proven techniques and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in the entertainment industry.

Teaching Method and Techniques
With over 40 years of experience in the film industry, my approach blends real-world acting techniques with personalized guidance tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on helping students connect deeply with characters, understand the layers of scene work, and cultivate a strong presence on camera. My teaching is hands-on, interactive, and practical, with a balance of theory and application. Students get individualized feedback and industry insights, learning to approach each scene and audition with confidence.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a warm-up to get students in the right frame of mind, followed by exercises in scene analysis and character development. We’ll work on cold reads to strengthen audition skills, then transition to scene work, where I provide detailed feedback and guidance. I often incorporate real audition materials or scripts from films to give students experience with industry-standard materials. We’ll wrap up with a Q&A to ensure clarity and provide actionable steps for improvement.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
Having starred in Poltergeist and various other films, as well as written and directed projects like a Hallmark Channel movie, I bring a unique, comprehensive perspective to teaching. My experience spans acting, directing, and screenwriting, which enables me to guide students not only in performing but in understanding the full scope of storytelling in film.
