About Austin
As a music tutor with a lifelong passion for guitar and piano, I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to my teaching. I began music lessons at the age of six, a gift from my parents that has profoundly shaped my life. I have played in bands from sixth grade through college and recently recorded original music with my band, "THE FORGETFUL JONES." Trained through private lessons, formal classes in high school and college, and continuous self-education, I am well-equipped to guide students on their musical journeys. My teaching emphasizes practice, learning from mistakes, and appreciating both the science and art of music. I am committed to empowering students to achieve their musical potential with confidence and professionalism.

As a guitar tutor, I focus on personalized, hands-on learning tailored to each student’s level. For beginners, lessons include basic chord shapes, strumming patterns, and simple songs to build confidence and foundational skills. Intermediate players delve into more complex techniques, such as fingerpicking, barre chords, and soloing. My teaching method emphasizes practical application, ensuring students play music they love. A typical lesson starts with a review, followed by new concepts and practice. My approachable, patient style and ability to adapt to individual needs set me apart. Lessons are perfect for anyone from absolute beginners to intermediate players looking to enhance their skills.
