About Lindsay
I am a prolific writer and reader from a family of English majors. I am incredibly well and widely read and would love to help your student find a passion for literary storytelling. I believe that one good book can change a person's life and one great idea can change the world, especially when that idea becomes a play for the stage!
I am a native New Hampshirite who now lives in Brooklyn, NY with my girlfriend and our dog, Cricket. I am currently working with Signature Theatre as a Telefund caller while tutoring and supporting myself as a writer.

I would love to help your student find their passion for creative writing and playwriting by starting with the basics and then expanding to more complex material. I have a very artistic/dramaturgical approach to playwriting, and usually suggest my students brainstorm visually or with music before they start writing their narratives.
I will supplement my structural lessons with a variety of activities to reframe what writing & rewriting can be (FUN)! I may assign plays and academic essays to read as well as videos of professional plays to watch at home, all of which will allow the student to build valuable skills outside of our sessions. We will do a combination of freewriting in our sessions and working with what the student has written preceding the lesson; I typically assign 5 pages double spaced per week, but this can easily be adjusted for challenge level.
I am a recent Vassar College English and Drama graduate with a primary focus in playwriting & creative storytelling for social change. As an aspiring playwright (who has written five plays), I know how to brainstorm, structure, write & edit play scripts of all levels. I would love to help your student find their passion and write creatively for the stage!
