About Maria
I am a SLP, I've been teaching Spanish and English as a pro bono as well as paid instructor. My diverse background has given me a different perspective of how an ESL student feels and the challenges involved when learning a second language. Language barrier or language issues? My SLP background is a plus in such cases.

I like to teach individually in order to focus and adapt to the individual's learning style. I am a problem solver and I can build rapport pretty easily. Once I learn what method is the most useful to the student I prepare the class using pictures, images, videos and the student's real life experiences to expand it into new situations using the vocabulary learned.
