NOTE: I offer one, lower-cost trial lesson, but not a free lesson.
I am a performer/singer-songwriter who is ever-passionate about vocals, performance, and songwriting. Supporting singers in uncovering the voice they've always wanted is such a special privilege, and I hold precious the vulnerability it takes to explore this with another person. I have been performing and writing professionally for about 18 years. My educational background is in psychology, with some music education, followed by studies in music therapy at the master's level. I've also studied contemporary voice teaching through Berklee College. I have performed hundreds of solo concerts, booked a few small tours, and played in a few bands. Additionally, I am an avid community-builder, clown, and life-long learner, and I strongly value creativity and self-expression. As a neurodivergent, non-binary member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, I strive to provide accessible services, limiting barriers to the expressiveness and play that comes to me through musical exploration. I like to think that anyone who thinks they have a "bad voice" just hasn't learned how to use it yet! That said, I look forward to supporting you with your music :)

I provide gender-inclusive and neurodivergent-friendly sessions, with a growth- and self-awareness focused approach. I ensure that students feel safe and have fun as we expand their relationship with their voice. Lessons focus mainly on contemporary singing and songwriting students. We might be a good fit if you're at the beginning of your learning journey, or if you'd like to refine your technique, or explore new stylistic choices as a more experienced vocalist.

Sara Rose is a fantastic vocal coach with an extremely technical yet humane approach to teaching. They've taught me more in these short months than years of self-study, and they've helped me unlock a deeper understanding of my voice.
More importantly than that, they've been someone who I can open up to about my struggles as an artist more broadly. I trust Sara Rose with my voice and my artistry, and I would highly recommend them to anyone else interested in vocal lessons or musical career growth.Sara has been teaching me for over 2 years now, and I cannot believe how lucky I am to have found them! I used to feel really negatively about my voice and couldn't really be present while using it, and somehow I now sing joyfully all the time.
They have the technical know-how to figure out what could be getting in the way of your sound, but also the emotional skills to create a safe space to explore this most vulnerable of instruments. We laugh and have fun in every lesson!
Sara is very open and responsive to my needs and desires in lessons: we pursue my own goals on my own terms (my main goal is be able to relax and have fun!), and they love to find or invent new teaching tools that fit my journey whenever something isn't working.

15min Consultation | Free | In this optional meeting, we can discuss your needs, what I can provide, and whether or not we would be a good fit based on your learning goals.
30min Trial Lesson | $30 | If you're undecide on how many lessons you'd like, we can try a low-cost, no-commitment lesson. If you decided to purchase a lesson package, the trial lesson fee can be applied to the cost of the lesson package you choose.
1hr Lesson (one-off) | $80 | If you just want to try this out, only want to take occasional lessons, or want a few lessons to decide on a package,
5 x 1hr Lessons | $375 | This package will allow you to explore the beginnings of getting to know your voice; allow you to identify and start to correct any issues you might be experiencing; or learn new techniques you're aiming for.
10 x 1hr Lessons | $700 | If you know your goals, you want regular accountability, and you want to fully commit to your voice exploration journey or expansion, this is the package for you.
