About Caterina
Caterina Asturiano, is a Chilean soprano, graduated from the Professional Opera Program of the Mannes School of Music in New York. Asturian, he began his singing studies at the Verónica Villarroel Academy, in Santiago de Chile. As part of his improvement as a singer, he participated in numerous international festivals, including CSNY, Classical Singing in New York; IVAI International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel-Aviv, Israel; Miami Summer Music festival; and the Voice Festival at the Manhattan School of Music. Additionally, he has participated in master classes with Montserrat Caballé, Margo Garrett, Katheryn Labouff, Manny Perez, Joan Dornemann and Ramón Tebar. In 2019, Asturiano participated in the Naples Academy Opera program, in Florida, USA. She currently works as a teacher of lyrical and popular singing at the Veronica Villarroel Academy.

My passion for the musical and performing arts have led me to develop as a singing teacher with experience in classical and popular repertoire, vocal technique, and performance fundamentals. Including opera, musical theater, classical repertoire, jazz, among others. My main goals are to start with vocal technique, breathing, posture, resonators, voice placement through vocalization exercises. Then we assign a repertoire appropriate to the student's abilities and personal goals.
