About Yukti
I have too many interests and too little time.
By profession, I work in the field of Restorative Justice. I am a social science researcher and an NGO director.
Music was my first love. Training since the age of 3, at some point I realized I was too harsh on myself. My teachers wanted perfection and I was losing my sense of joy.
I started dabbling in other art forms where no one expected perfection from me, like painting and writing. Loving art for art's sake made me a better artist. Now I prioritize humor, joy, and self-expression over perfection.
As a vocal trainer, I want to help you create, discover, or rediscover a happy and fulfilling relationship with music.

If you can breath, you can sing.
In the first class, we will identify your goals. What is your current level of singing? What are you aiming for? Do you want to become a professional vocalist or just a better bathroom singer? Is music an artform where you strive for perfection or freedom? Is there something specific you want to master, like playing by the ear or harmonization? The structure of my classes depends on your goals.
I'm open to working with people of all ages.
