About Imogen
I read Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Warwick, graduating in 2024 with a First Class Honours degree. I tutor clients in areas ranging from: - A Level - English Literature, Language and Drama - GCSE - English Literature, Language, Drama and History - Pre GCSE (KS1,2 & 3) - Undergraduate (Drama and Theatre) My passion is to devise, write and make theatre and I am currently at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama , undertaking my MA in Advanced Theatre Practice. The ability to present and perform the work of your creation is a lesson in risk taking. I encourage all my students to be brave and confident. Take those risks. And learn something new! After many years of succeeding, failing, trialling and learning in the education system myself, I have developed a comprehensive approach to English and Drama education. My experience spans both academic analysis and practical performance skills, allowing me to prepare students thoroughly for exams and performances alike. Whether that be comprehension, close reading or preparing revision material. To monologues, dramatic techniques or scene study. I believe everyone learns differently, and it's my responsibility to discover each student's unique learning style. I tailor my lessons specifically to the individual, helping them achieve top grades while building the confidence to express themselves both analytically and creatively. A-Level/GCSE English and Drama: English lessons explore: - Identifying and analysing language techniques - Close reading practice for fiction and non-fiction texts - Advanced essay structure and argumentation - In-depth analysis of set texts (themes, characters, context) - Quote bank creation and application - Writing technique development across genres Drama lessons include: - Script analysis and interpretation - Performance techniques and character development - Understanding staging, direction, and theatrical devices - Analysing live theatre productions - Developing practical performance skills - Refining vocal and physical expression - Building confidence in performance settings I also offer support for the 13+ and 11+, covering skills in comprehension, grammar, reading and writing practice. As well as Key Stages 1-4, in areas they feel they wish to explore more. Taking an interest in what you are learning and enjoying it are key to me. I foster a safe space where learning is fun for all.

I exceedingly recommend Imogen. What separated her from other tutors is the preparation that accompanied the lessons.
