As my experiences are limited, I’ll give a brief of how it ideally plays out. My primary subject is maths, so I’ll talk about it here.
It starts off with warm up problems, either from the text book exercises or I’ll formulate them in prior to the class. With that, I could easily pin point the weakness’s of the student and the level of hardness they can bear. If it’s in a state, that’s below average- then I’ll make sure to explain all the way from the basics and work it up at the students pace till they’re able to do it. And I’ll encourage them to try doing solved examples first from their book. If they can’t, I’ll guide them with my expertise. This should make them self sufficient to some extend. After which, I’ll make sure to give a realistic amount of hw too.
In the case, they’re above average or have reached the average level. I’ll conduct quizzes too, on top of practice questions.Either on zoom or Kahoot.
