About William
I’m a singing tutor with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, specialising in Lieder and Art Song. My teaching blends classical vocal foundation with a deep love for jazz and blues improvisation. I help students explore scat singing, melodic embellishment, and how to navigate advanced harmonies with style and confidence. Each lesson is crafted to develop your ear, apply scale and chord theory, and strengthen your improvisational voice. I believe that every singer has a distinct sound, and I’m here to help you discover and refine yours. Whether you're a beginner curious about jazz or an advanced vocalist seeking new challenges, I provide thoughtful, personalised instruction. Technique, interpretation, and musical understanding are all part of our journey. I support students in building strong breath support, smooth phrasing, and expressive tone. We’ll work on creative risk-taking and musical storytelling. I also include ear training and harmony exercises in each lesson to sharpen your skills.
