About Ruby
I am a guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience working with students who have learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety. Holding a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music (Guitar), I blend my musical expertise with knowledge from music therapy and special education. My teaching style is adaptive and strengths-based, focusing on each student’s unique abilities and learning pace. I create lessons that are flexible and supportive, helping students feel comfortable and motivated. By using tailored strategies, I guide learners of all levels to build skills and confidence in their playing. My approach encourages creativity and expression, while also addressing challenges in a positive way. Whether beginners or advanced players, my students benefit from a safe and encouraging environment where progress is celebrated. I believe music has the power to empower and inspire, and I’m dedicated to helping every student find success through guitar. Together, we will unlock your musical potential and enjoy the journey of learning in an inclusive, supportive space.

My teaching method combines solid technique with creative expression to help every student grow as a guitarist. I emphasize proper body posture to prevent strain and improve playing comfort. Mental preparation is also key—I teach strategies to manage nerves and focus, especially before auditions or recitals.
Finger independence and strength are developed through targeted exercises, allowing students to tackle complex rhythms and melodies with ease. I support learners who love exploring unique styles and those who want to break free from traditional methods, encouraging them to find their own voice.
We work on stage readiness by practicing performance skills like presence, confidence, and connecting with an audience. I tailor lessons to suit each student’s personality and goals, blending structured practice with fun, spontaneous moments.
My goal is to help you not only master the guitar but also enjoy every step of the journey. Together, we’ll build skills, boost self-belief, and prepare you to shine on any stage.
