About Robert
Bob Wolfman is a legendary guitarist and vocalist with a rich history in the Boston and New England music scene, rising to fame in the 1980s with his band Elan Vital and later leading the renowned Bob Wolfman Band. Known for his electrifying performances, soulful vocals, and technical mastery, Bob captivates audiences with powerful solos, heartfelt ballads, and an undeniable stage presence.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, Bob’s versatility spans Blues, Rock, and Jazz. Over his career, he has performed in 21 countries, gracing venues from intimate clubs to major concert halls and collaborating with icons like Larry Coryell, Chick Corea, Grover Washington Jr., Robben Ford, and Sonny Landreth.
Bob’s music journey began in NYC, playing legendary spots like The Bottom Line and B.B. King’s. Since moving to Boston, he’s performed at notable venues such as the House of Blues, Scullers, and The Regatta Bar. As the founder of Wolfman’s School of Music, he has shaped countless musicians and is recognized as an esteemed educator, composer, and producer.
Currently, Bob leads the Bob Wolfman Band (BWB), featuring Bruce Mattson (Gregg Allman Band) on keys and Barry Lit on drums.
