About Kaya
With over 6 years of teaching experience and a **Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Voice Major)**, I am passionate about helping singers discover their unique sound and perform with confidence. I’ve guided students through **auditions, competitions, and stage performances**, helping them shine both technically and artistically. My lessons are designed to build a strong vocal foundation while nurturing creativity and individuality. I specialise in **Classical, Broadway, Pop-Rock, and Music Theatre** styles, tailoring each session to suit the student’s vocal goals and strengths. Through focused work on **diction, range development, and vocal agility**, my students learn to sing with clarity, flexibility, and control. I also emphasise **repertoire selection** and **dramatic interpretation**, ensuring every performance connects emotionally and stylistically with the audience. Over the years, I’ve worked with **school students, drama majors, and adult singers** returning to their passion for music. My approach combines structured training with an encouraging, performance-driven mindset. Together, we explore tone, emotion, and storytelling through song. They learn to interpret phrasing and emotion differently—warm vibrato for classical, crisp enunciation for pop, and fluid slides or scatting for jazz.
