About Ana
A near death experience with cancer inspired me to pursue a yogic life. My mission is to empower you towards your own pranayama (breath), asana (physical postures), and ultimately samadhi, or bliss. I understand the powerful call to healthy living through mind, body, spirit, and community. That cosmic pull that you feel towards swimming in the ocean, hiking through mountains, smelling a beautiful flower, or a yoga asana practice, goes well and beyond healing ourselves - you are instinctively drawn towards making holistic health a way of life, a way of living. Which is why I seek to provide holistic health guidance to inspire and improve the whole health and empowered expansion of individuals, their communities, and our environment. With a 500 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Certificate, I've traveled to various Buddhist centers, studying and applying the art of meditation. Currently, I guide yoga in studio, outdoor community classes, and private virtual and in person. Other certifications I hold include and Health and Wellness Coach (APD Accredited) and Wildcrafting + Herbalism.

Your yoga class with me will incorporate the wisdom of modern anatomy with ancient knowledge of breath work (pranayama), reiki, chi gong, and Hatha sequencing. I believe in the therapeutic process of co-regulating with an experienced guide, and focusing on your unique goals. Whether you are looking to reduce stress, recover from trauma (physical or emotional), strengthen your body, increase flexibility, release negative emotions, cultivate a graceful and blissful state, train your mind, or increase your yogi skills, our classes will be tailor made to your unparalleled path. Yoga is an ancient discipline backed by science. These particular breath work practices and physical asanas (postures) have been refined over 3,000 years to deliver incredible mental, physical and emotional benefits. Through gaining strength and flexibility in the physical body, we gain this same strength and space in our minds. The proven scientific benefits you will enjoy from your yoga class are: Increased brain function Improved muscle tone Balance mind and body Relieve depression Anxiety reduction Heal physical injuries Recover from surgery Ideal brain wave state Subconscious repatterning What to Expect in Your Yoga Class: Opening Meditation Guided breath work Focused and customized yoga flow Each class ranges from 35-90 minutes, depending on your preference.

As a relative beginner, I’m still learning position techniques and don’t have a lot of confidence in my abilities. Ana provides a safe environment for both individualized instruction and encouragement as I continue to gain skills. She is calm, sweet and full of namaste! Great teacher.

Ana understands that yoga poses are about the individual muscles and breath and she makes doing difficult poses much easier by giving the right context to correct form in real time. Super peaceful sessions with her leave you feeling ready to tackle the challenges you have been avoiding in life. If it weren’t for Thursdays with her I wouldn’t know how to properly move through life after my dad passed.
