About Nick
- I am a recent aerospace engineering graduate from the University of Michigan, and I have years of experience working as a tutor for high school and college level students in subjects such as: - AP Calculus AB and BC - AP Physics 1, 2, and C - Geometry/Algebra 2/Precalculus - SAT/ACT Prep for both Math and Reading/Writing sections - I have received 5s on AP Calculus AB and BC and AP Physics 1, 2, and C, as well as a 1570 on the SAT. I know what is required to perform well on these exams, and my goal with the student is to help them build the critical thinking skills required to succeed in both high school and college level classes. - Having a teacher who a student meets with regularly and really understands is so crucial to allowing a student to realize their full potential. My goal with any student is to be that teacher that can work through their strengths to extract the most out of them.

- Everyone learns differently, and I always try to get to know my students on a personal level as much as possible. Chatting for 2 minutes at the beginning of each session on how club activities, sports games, or anything else that matters deeply to the student really goes a long way.
- I believe a strong relationship between the teacher and student is critical to a productive learning environment. I try to get to know my students at a personal level, which informs me on how to approach each lesson.
- I come to every lesson prepared with a plan and material for the day to maximize the time we have together. I approach every lesson differently and am adaptable to the needs of the student and the work required.
- I have experience working to support a student through their current coursework by providing practice problems and additional insight into what they have learned in class. I am also able to provide custom lesson plans for students looking to learn a subject without formally taking a class (for example, I have created a summer precalculus curriculum for a student looking to go from Algebra 2 straight to AP Calculus).
