I use the fundamental and most common approach, based on how important the specific field is for the student's level and exam requirement, I'll give excess time for those certain fields. Such as higher grades needing theory and scales, I'll provide theory and piano exercising training in the first half of the lesson, and move on towards the pieces provided.
