About Anne
I have an Honours Degree from UCT, specialising in Directing, as well as a Diploma in Theatre and Performance from Magnet Theatre. I have practical experience writing and directing plays through a combination of methods including improv-based workshopping as well as working with actors and pre-written texts.

My teaching method is based on improvisatory practices with the aim of keeping the focus on the actor's body, voice and abilities. I like to start with the body first and then move on to text and meaning. I find this especially useful because the approach appreciates and caters to each actor's uniqueness
