About Bourema
I'm Bourema. I was born in Babougou, Koulikoro, Mali almost three decades ago. From an early age I showed interest in understanding and preserving our rich traditions and that grew into a passion during high school. I got into social sciences in college. Attending the Ecole Normale Superieure of Bamako was the best decision I ever made because it showed me how I can share my knowledge of Malian traditions and values with others. Currently, I help individuals all around the world to discover Malian culture and traditions by teaching them Bambara in a very friendly manner. I had the pleasure of working with people from many different backgrounds and age groups. Right now, I’m based in Budapest.

1. I can teach you to read and write Bambara. My goal is to introduce you to the twenty-seven letters of the Bambara alphabet, and their pronunciation, while expanding your vocabulary. 2. I can improve your ability to understand native Bambara speakers. I have extensive experience in learning languages (French, English, Russian), so I’m in an excellent position to identify some of the most challenging aspects of the spoken language. I am able to provide materials that will gradually improve your listening skills. 3. I can help you understand quotes, dialects, and the meaning of special words and expressions in Bambara. Having grown up in a deeply rural Mali where Bambara remains the only spoken language, I have a solid understanding of the various meanings people attach to words, expressions, and quotes.
