About Tamara
My name's Tamara, and I'm a recent graduate in Zoology at Derby University, aiming to go into Marine Biology as a career. I loved maths and science at school, found the way they were taught so interesting, and just clicked with that information. I grew up as an undiagnosed autistic child however, and found some lessons so difficult sheerly because of how the teachers would lay out the lessons. I think it's vital that lessons be catered as much as possible to the students, rather than recycling the same lesson slides over and over. I'm here for you, at the end of the day, and if the lessons aren't catered to give you the best shot at understanding, then what's the point? Everybody deserves the chance to learn, and if the way things are being taught at school just isn't sinking in, then I'm here to help :).

I have always loved maths and science, I found them to be the classes I looked forwards to most in school, and would even help out my peers in class when they were struggling. I understand that everyone learns differently, and there is no specific way for anyone to learn. my lessons would roughly be 45minutes to an hour, and aimed at GCSE level and lower. My first lesson would be finding out the level you're up to, how you find it best to learn, what approaches work best, and then would begin tailoring lessons to suit you. I don't have much experience as a tutor, but I have always tried to help others, and this year I am beginning to go into my local junior/infant schools to teach them about marine biology!
