About Julia
- What kind of experience do you have?
My background is working with children and young adult with learning and/or behaviour difficulties.
I have worked in the Montessori School in Munich as a classroom assistant before I moved to Hamburg where I worked with school children offering learning support in lessons as well as after school.
Here in the UK, I started off teaching German privately and soon had a quickly growing client base, ranging from private clients, school pupils as well as companies, covering all areas of German language learning requirements.
Having worked with many secondary schools in this area, I have experience with all major exam boards for GCSE and A-level exams and have a wide range of teaching materials. Often, school students come to me with one or two specific areas they are struggling with, for example pronunciation or just lacking confidence in speaking German. Others have problems with some of the Grammar.
Whatever the issue, I can help!
I have been delivering German language courses in companies in Milton Keynes, such as Red Bull Technology, Wipac, T-Systems, Mahle Powertrain Northampton, and more recently VW Group.
In my spare time, I run a German language conversation group on Meetup.com, for German speakers, who want to socialise in German. We have over 200 members to date and meet once a month. For more details check our website: (concealed information)
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Yes.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I have a 100% success rate for my GCSE students who completed their German lessons with me.
I am also teaching Business German, currently in several businesses in Milton Keynes such as Red Bull Technology, Wipac, T-Systems, Mahle Powertrain (Northampton)
My private clients include a family with young children, who own a holiday home in Austria and are learning how to order food and drink, buy train tickets and go shopping, etc.
Another client had lessons with me before securing a job in Germany, where he has now moved to.
A young lady is currently having lessons with me to learn German, she is a professional singer and wants to improve her pronunciation for her Classical singing.

I have had the pleasure of working with Julia recently whilst she has been teaching me German in association with London Languages. Julia is an excellent teacher. She takes time and care to understand your requirements and what works well, and adapts the lessons and her teaching style accordingly. I would not hesitate to recommend Julia to anyone who was considering learning German and I would be delighted to work with her again in the future.
Julia is very professional German language teacher with excellent skills in engaging and getting the right message across all levels of attendees' knowledge and different audience. She has excellent presentation skills and teaching methods.
Julia has worked as a German tutor for us for a number of years and we have always found her to be professional and reliable. Her students find her lessons productive as well as enjoyable and we trust her to represent our business well with very little monitoring from our side. We are happy to recommend Julia's work as a tutor and have always found her a pleasure to work with.
It's rare that you come across people like Julia!
I had the pleasure of knowing Julia since 2015. She has been my German tutor and coach. Working with Julia has been both a productive and pleasant experience.
I was particularly impressed by Julia's interests and efforts that transcend teaching; creating and supporting German speaking communities through cultural events and activities.View more recommendations
