About Ahlyssa
Hello! :) I am a professional classical singer. I have been studying opera and classical voice for 10 years, during which I completed my Bachelor of Music in Canada and I have completed my Master of Music in Voice and Opera Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music. I play piano and also enjoy musical theatre with my dance training background.
I have many years experience as a private music teacher, teaching voice and piano lessons to students young and old! I have experience teaching group and private lessons, so please enquire if you have siblings or friends looking for group lessons!

Learning music should be engaging and fun! My lessons work towards learning music and having fun doing it! Lessons with me will include choosing suitable repetoire based on level and interest, focus on music theory to learn to read music, and learning proper technique to perform on chosen instrument, whether it's voice or piano. All of this will be done with the student's enjoyment as a priority! I work with all ages who are beginners, and have experience working with younger children ages 3 and up. I can teach singing up to an advanced level, and teach piano up to an intermediate level.

Ahlyssa has provided in-home piano lessons to our 2 sons (4 years and 6 years) for the last 2 years. She is a gifted teacher and musician. She is always smiling, patient, creative, and encouraging. We have been so amazed by her ability to keep them excited through the lesson (even when they are tired!). She has a ever-changing mix of games, songs, and activities that keep the lesson engaging, particularly for a young student, and our boys adore her.
