About Shelli

Singers often come to me feeling stuck in their technique or anxious about their range. Working with students at all levels, I find that a direct, honest approach usually yields the fastest progress. I hold a Bachelor of Music from USC Thornton, and I utilize my 3 years of experience to prioritize vocal health and care above all else. We focus on breathing control, diction, articulation, and vibrato control to build a foundation that lasts.

By emphasizing rhythm, phrasing, and microphone technique, I help you develop your performance confidence while preparing for exams. Your voice is a unique instrument, and we will work together to ensure you achieve your specific artistic goals.

English

A typical lesson feels like a collaborative experiment where we test new vocal shapes and sounds. We start by building a personalised song list based on your specific range, ensuring that every piece we select helps you extend your capabilities. I often remind students that the classroom was never my plan, so I keep our time together focused on active singing rather than just talking about theory. Given my USC Thornton training, I lean into the French classical tradition to help you understand your own anatomy.

We move through vocal range extension and rhythm work with a 9.0 rating in student satisfaction for a reason. You will find that I teach the shortcut only after the long way makes sense to your ears. We work until you feel the resonance in your own body.
